Indigenous Environmental Network North American Indigenous Peoples Mining Summit August 15-18, 2007 Anchorage, Alaska From August 15 through the 18, Indigenous Peoples and their specially invited guests will be gathering in Anchorage to discuss the impacts of mining on Indigenous Lands and communities. This Summit is a follow up to the first North American Indigenous Peoples Mining Summit (NAIPMS) that was held two years ago in Edmonton , Alberta . This year, the Indigenous Environmental Network will convene the Summit with an exciting array of guests and speakers from throughout North America. A limited number of travel and accommodation scholarships will soon be available for group representatives and individuals to attend.
